Talk about your dramatic wins. The Minnesota Wild might not have a better win this season than their first Adidas Erik Karlsson Jersey , a 4-3 overtime decision Thursday night over the Chicago Blackhawks that featured a short-handed equalizer in the last 25 seconds of regulation and a game-winning breakaway goal from Jason Zucker.“If this is how the year is going to be, I won’t have any hair left at the end of it,” Minnesota coach Bruce Boudreau quipped.Article continues below ...With a two-point game in their pocket for the first time, the Wild try to push above .500 Saturday in a late-afternoon clash with the Carolina Hurricanes that finishes a three-game homestand.Minnesota (1-1-1) came into the game against Chicago looking for offense. The Wild found it, outshooting the Blackhawks 46-30 after being outshot 82-51 in the first two games. They finally sustained puck possession and drove play.Chicago goalie Cam Ward made a spate of outstanding saves that probably prevented Minnesota from scoring six or seven goals, yet the Wild were in danger of losing again after Mikael Granlund took a holding minor at 18:43 of the third period. But Minnesota took advantage of the Blackhawks’ inability to maintain puck control. Eric Staal and Zack Parise pumped shots at Ward, who saved them both. However, defenseman Ryan Suter, who rarely ventures below the point on offense Adidas Adam Cracknell Jersey , got to the top of the blue paint and poked home a rebound to force overtime.“Just desperation … just trying to get to the net and help out,” Suter said.Zucker wrapped things up in overtime with his second goal of the night, capping one of the best games for anyone in the league during the first week-plus. He finished with three points, a plus-four plus-minus rating and put 10 shots on net.He was a prime reason why the Wild tied their fourth-highest shot total in a game and equaled their second-most shots on goal in a home game.“I wasn’t happy with how I played the first two games,” Zucker said. “I thought I had some good spurts. It just wasn’t good enough. I know the way I can play and tonight was much more like it. I think everybody would have said the same thing about the first two games.”While Minnesota found some footing, Carolina (3-0-1) has been on solid ground from the opener, when it outshot the New York Islanders 46-20 but lost 2-1 in overtime. It has won three straight since then, including a 5-3 decision Tuesday night over Vancouver.Under first-year coach Rod Brind’Amour, the Hurricanes have found their scoring touch Adidas Josh Jooris Jersey , registering 17 goals, the third-highest total through four games in franchise history.“We want to play that way offensively,” he said. “That’s the way we have to play. We have good talent, and we have to use it to our advantage. Now we have to get better at the other end. I think there’s a lot of room for improvement, which is a positive that we’re still finding ways to get wins.” Hitting the road isn’t normally seen as a good thing for NHL teams, but the New York Islanders are embracing their longest trip of the season to date.New York (15-12-4) starts a four-game Western Conference swing Monday night at Colorado with a good attitude and with the hope of building momentum after a 4-3 shootout win over Detroit on Saturday night.“I think it’s kind of nice, get on the road, be together as a group, kind of get that bonding again Adidas Timothy Liljegren Jersey ,” center Mathew Barzal told Newsday after the win over the Red Wings. “I get excited playing in front of other fans. I think we all do.”Article continues below ...The Islanders will be on the road when the NHL roster freeze starts Wednesday and concludes Sunday in Dallas just ahead of the Christmas break.“It’s right before Christmas, right before everyone gets to see family and get some time off,” Anthony Beauvillier, who extended his goal streak to three games on Saturday, told Newsday. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.” Beauvillier might change his tune when facing the high-scoring Avalanche on Monday night. Colorado (18-9-6) has scored 121 goals, tops in the Western Conference and third overall, and is coming off a 6-4 win over Dallas on Saturday night. The top line for the Avalanche has combined for 148 points this season and scored five of the six goals against the Stars.Colorado could have had more goals Saturday but had two disallowed upon review.Forward Mikko Rantanen (56 points) is on a 14-game point streak and leads the NHL in scoring. Center Nathan MacKinnon (52 points) is second. The third member, captain Gabe Landeskog, has 21 goals Adidas Tyler Ennis Jersey , tied with MacKinnon for the team lead.“I’m fortunate to be part of such a good line that finds different ways to score goals,” Landeskog said after the game. The Avalanche pulled out that win on Landeskog’s goal at 16:40 gave them the lead, and MacKinnon added an empty-netter 1:57 later after blowing a two-goal lead in the third period.New York has had issues with the third period this season before pulling one out against Detroit at home. It was the first time in 10 games the Islanders have won when trailing after two periods but helped them improve to 3-3-1 in December.New York might need to put up more goals Monday than it has lately. The Islanders average 2.9 goals per game but only 2.3 in the last seven. That might not be enough against a team that averages 3.7 goals per game. They also can’t afford to lose ground in the playoff race. Even though it’s only December, dropping valuable points could make things tougher down the road.“You’re going to see in these next four, five games things start to settle in a little bit,” New York captain Anders Lee told Newsday. “It’s that time of the year where these points are crucial. Moves are starting to be made and things start to get a little more set in stone. It only gets harder and harder to climb out of a hole if you get put in one.”

NASHVILLE Calgary Flames T-Shirts Authentic , Tenn. (AP) Yes, Predators forward Filip Forsberg has watched the video of his jaw-dropping goal against Colorado a couple times, and even he agrees putting the puck through not only his legs but a defender’s with a dangle ranks as his most creative yet.”I had some opportunities, but I haven’t finished any of them off,” Forsberg said. ”But it was good.”The Colorado Avalanche showed that they can give Nashville fits with their speed and too-young-to-know-better attitude with the youngest roster this postseason. Having a chance in this first-round Western Conference series against the NHL’s Presidents’ Trophy winners will mean figuring out a way to slow down the Predators’ top scorer.Forsberg’s two goals in the third period not only rallied Nashville to a 5-2 win in Game 1 , the forward is averaging more than a point per game for his career against Colorado. Forsberg now has 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists) and five game-winning goals in 21 games. He also outscored Colorado’s top line as Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen each had assists setting up the Avs’ opening goal.Coach Jared Bednar said he thought his Avalanche, playing without top defenseman Erik Johnson (knee injury), did a nice job on Forsberg most of the game. Sam Girard played 22 minutes, 7 seconds in his postseason debut against the team that drafted him.”He uses his skill and beats a guy one-on-one,” Bednar said of Forsberg. ”The go-ahead goal at 3-2 was a lucky bounce. They shot it wide, and he got to the right spot on the ice and hit maybe his stick and a shin pad. He just goes to the hard areas.”The Avalanche are catching Forsberg at a bad time. The 23-year-old forward from Ostervala Calgary Flames Hoodies Authentic , Sweden, now has 32 points in his last 31 games after leading the balanced Predators with 64 points in the regular season. The Predators have a chance Saturday in Game 2 at something they haven’t managed yet as a franchise: Taking a 2-0 series lead in their own building.”We’ve got to be better to get this done,” Forsberg said. Some things to watch Saturday:—Devils at Lightning, Tampa Bay leads 1-0 (3 p.m EDT, NBC/CBNBC)The Lightning look and sound like a team rejuvenated by playing meaningful games again. The Atlantic Division champions spent the final three weeks of the regular season essentially biding time while awaiting the start of the playoffs. Captain Steven Stamkos said it was important to re-establish an edge in the series opener, and now the top seed in the Eastern Conference can take a commanding lead on the underdog Devils.”There’s a wealth of experience in this room, with guys that have been in this situation,” Stamkos said. ”I think you could tell, once the puck dropped, that we were very determined to set the tone and play the right way.”About half of New Jersey’s roster entered this series with no playoff experience. Coach John Hynes expects that to be less of a factor in Game 2.”I don’t really want to get into what the exact message with our team was, but it (basically) was don’t get too high, don’t get too low Calgary Flames Hats Authentic ,” Hynes said. ”We have to make sure we understand the areas we’ve got to be better at, and I think mentally make sure that we’re ready to play a certain way.”—Maple Leafs at Bruins, Boston leads 1-0 (8 p.m. EDT, NBC)The Bruins may be without forward Tommy Wingels, who did not skate Friday after taking a hit from Toronto forward Nazem Kadri. Boston coach Bruce Cassidy said Wingels was being evaluated by doctors and lists him as questionable as the Bruins try to take a 2-0 lead.If Wingels can’t play, a possible replacement could be rookie forward Ryan Donato. Cassidy said the former Harvard star could make his postseason debut Saturday. Donato skated with Noel Acciari and David Backes in practice. Cassidy said they have options with Brian Gionta as a right wing and Danton Heinen, who can slide over.”I think Ryan played really well when he was here for his 12 games,” said Cassidy. ”We plan on using Ryan, just want to pick the right time.”The Maple Leafs know they have to play better on special teams after giving up three power-play goals. They also spent Friday waiting to learn what punishment the NHL would give Kadri.”I don’t know what they’re going to do so might as well get prepared,” Toronto coach Mike Babcock said.—Sharks at Ducks, San Jose leads 1-0 (10:30 p.m. EDT, NBCSN)The Ducks looked largely lifeless as they gave away their home-ice advantage by failing to maintain the momentum from their impressive finish to the regular season. This is a familiar pattern for the veteran Ducks Custom Calgary Flames Jerseys , who have lost Game 1 at home in four of their last five playoff series over the past three seasons. They won two of those series.Perhaps Evander Kane’s gritty two-goal performance in his playoff debut will get the Ducks’ attention, reminding them that they can’t play into the Sharks’ hands by skating on the perimeter of the ice and failing to generate consistent traffic in front of Martin Jones.Or maybe the Sharks are hitting their stride after losing five of their final six games in the regular season. San Jose was better on both ends to win the opener 3-0 .”They played how you’re supposed to play in the playoffs,” Anaheim forward Andrew Cogliano said of the Sharks. ”They played patient and played the right way. When you get chances, you have to score on them. You just execute the game plan. They did that. It seemed like we were stuck in the regular season and trying to make plays in the neutral zone, or turning the pucks over.”San Jose coach Peter DeBoer cautioned against getting excited about seeing Sharks center Joe Thornton on the ice in pregame warmups. Thornton has not played since Jan. 25 because of an injured right knee. DeBoer said the 38-year-old veteran is improving or wouldn’t be on the ice.”It’s not gamesmanship,” DeBoer said. ”He wants to be around the group, and he’s getting closer.”—AP Sports Writers Fred Goodall and Greg Beacham contributed to this report.— COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The St. Louis Blues got things going early and put an end to the Columbus Blue Jackets‘ 10-game winning streak with a big victory over their own.Jake Allen made 33 saves, Alexander Steen scored on St. Louis’ first shot of the game, and the Blues beat the Blue Jackets 2-1 on Saturday night.”It was a huge win for us, especially when Colorado wins this afternoon,” Allen said. ”Points are crucial right now. Let’s just take it one step at a time. And we will figure out the standings at the end.”St. Louis has 89 points – one behind Colorado www.officialhurricanes.com , which beat Vegas 2-1 in a shootout, and three behind Minnesota, which defeated Nashville 4-1.”Approaching every game like the season is on the line,” Blues coach Mike Yeo said. ”The challenge for us now is to make sure that doesn’t change. I am very pleased and very proud of the group. There is an awful lot of character inside our locker room, and I love that it’s on full display right now.”Vladimir Tarasenko also scored for St. Louis, which has won five in row. The Blues have also won four straight games on the road and earned points in four of their last five away from home. The win was Allen’s 26th of the season and seventh in his last eight games. Allen leads the NHL with 10 shutouts on the road since the start of the 2014-’15 season.Sergei Bobrovsky, who gave up two goals on 28 shots, lost for the first time since March 2. Cam Atkinson had the lone goal for the Blue Jackets, and appeared to have scored another earlier in the game but had it waved off.”We had enough chances. We just couldn’t beat them,” Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said. ”I thought we played a good game. We had ample opportunities. We just couldn’t beat the goalie.”Steen got the Blues on the scoreboard at the game’s 3-minute mark, taking Patrick Berglund’s pass from behind the net and slipping the puck past Bobrovsky from the right circle. The goal was Steen’s 15th and kept alive his four-game point streak. The Jackets appeared to tie it just 25 seconds later, but Atkinson’s goal was waved off for a kicking motion.Tarasenko made it 2-0 by skating between the circles and firing a wrist shot through a pair of Blue Jackets at 9:37 of the second period for his team-leading 29th of the season. Assists went to Brayden Schenn – his team-leading 38th – and Jaden Schwartz. Tarasenko now has eight points in his last five games and scored for the second straight contest Carolina Hurricanes T-Shirts Authentic , after missing two games with an upper-body injury.Atkinson extended his point streak to four games at 14:32 of the second period, skating the length of ice and wristing a shot from just above the circles past Allen on the left side for his 19th goal of the season. But the night belonged to Allen and the Blues, who played, according to Yeo, with ”complete desperation.”NOTES: With the win, the Blues completed the second of four sets of back-to-back games on successive weekends to close the regular season. … Blue Jackets forward Lukas Sedlak was scratched after being struck by a puck in the back of the head Thursday against the Florida Panthers. … The Blues’ Carl Gunnarsson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. It marked the 33 time this season the Blues have won after scoring first.UP NEXTBlues: at home against San Jose on Tuesday.Blue Jackets: visit Edmonton on Tuesday.

NEW YORK (AP) Although they will likely miss the playoffs for the first time since 2010 http://www.officialstarsproonline.com/au...hie-jersey , the New York Rangers are still scrapping for wins.Mika Zibanejad scored the tying goal late in the third period and then got the winner 2:53 into overtime to rally the Rangers to a 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night. On the winner, Zibanejad took a nice pass from Kreider and snuck a wrist shot past Penguins goalie Casey DeSmith for his career-best 22nd goal and 100th of his career. The Ranges won after overcoming deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 in the third period.”It was a fun game,” Zibanejad. ”A lot of chances, good battle out there. It’s always nice when you get away with a win from a game like this.”Chris Kreider had a goal and three assists for his first career four-point night, and Jesper Fast also scored to help the Rangers get their second straight win after a three-game skid. Neal Pionk had three assists and Alexandar Georgiev, making his second consecutive start, finished with 37 saves.”It’s a group of professional athletes,” Kreider said of the Rangers’ attitude after trading off several key pieces at the trade deadline. ”Guys aren’t going to quit.”Bryan Rust, Riley Sheahan and Carl Hagelin scored for the Penguins, who lost for just the fifth time in their last 15 games (10-4-1). DeSmith, filling in for injured starter Matt Murray, stopped 29 shots in his ninth career start. Murray has missed eight straight games after a concussion during practice Feb. 26.”They found another gear Adam Clendening Jersey Womens ,” Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz said. ”They really took it to us in the third. We paid for it.”Evgeni Malkin had a chance to win the game in the final 11 seconds when the referees awarded the Penguins a penalty shot because Georgiev knocked the net off the moorings with under two minutes remaining but the rookie goalie stopped Malkin with his right pad to force overtime.”There was certainly a lot going around in that last period,” Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. ”Momentum is a funny thing sometimes. . Take the two points and go from there.”The Rangers are 2-0-1 in their last three games, and 5-2-2 in their last nine. New York is seven points out of the last postseason spot in the Eastern Conference with 11 games remaining. The Rangers erased two deficits in the third period with three goals to earn a point. Kreider got a power-play goal at 8:42 of the third, before Fast tied it 2-2 with less than seven minutes remaining.”Guys made a concerted effort to get pucks in deep and make their defense turn,” Kreider said. I think when we were able to start doing that as a team we were able to tilt the ice a little bit.”However, Pittsburgh regained the lead when Hagelin finished a wraparound with 4:19 to go.Rust opened the scoring with his 11th of the season at 1:53 of the second period when his wrist shot sailed past the Georgiev’s glove to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead. Rust, 25, returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games with a concussion. Former Blueshirt Derick Brassard assisted on the play.Just 55 seconds later, Sheahan made it 2-0 with his 10th as he crashed the net and redirected Kris Letang’s shot. Carter Rowney also assisted on the play, registering his first point since Dec. 18, ending a 21-game pointless streak.NOTES: Susan Sarandon served as celebrity guest `Inside the Glass’ analyst alongside Pierre McGuire during the first period on the NBCSN telecast. … Murray joined his teammates during the morning skate but a timetable for his return is still unclear. … Pittsburgh reassigned forward Josh Jooris to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League to make room for Rust. . Kevin Hayes skated in his 299th career NHL game, while Mika Zibanejad participated in his 398th NHL game. … Prior to the game Devin Shore Jersey , Rangers announced defenseman Tony DeAngelo suffered a sprained ankle and will miss the next three-four weeks essentially ending his season.UP NEXTPenguins: At Montreal on Thursday night.Rangers: At St. Louis on Saturday. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carolina had its second win over the Flyers in a week when the team’s social media department had fun trolling the NHL’s most popular mascot: “Gritty victory.”Gritty had to keep his googily eyes open and watch the latest Flyers’ flop. Some Flyers fans tried to avoid the latest disaster and wore paper bags over their heads.Dougie Hamilton, Justin Williams and Teuvo Teravainen scored second-period goals to lead the Carolina Hurricanes past the woeful Philadelphia Flyers, 5-3 on Thursday night. The Flyers are a mess and there may be little choice ahead but to dismantle the team by the trade deadline.“It’s like quicksand right now. We’re trying to get out and it feels like it’s just getting deeper,” Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds said. The Flyers fired coach Dave Hakstol and general manager Ron Hextall last month and the shake-up has yet to spark any kind of sign of playoff life for a franchise that hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since 1975. The Flyers lost their fifth straight game and fell to 3-5-1 under interim coach Scott Gordon since his promotion from the AHL.Simmonds scored in the third to make it 4-1 and end Philly’s scoreless streak that stretched more than 123 minutes. The Flyers got hot too late in the game: Sean Couturier and James van Riemsdyk also scored goals the third, but the rally died at 4-3.Teravainen’s second goal of the game ended the Flyers’ comeback and secured Carolina’s third win since Dec. 20. Petr Mrazek stopped 31 shots for the Hurricanes.“We did a good job just to stick with it, get the pucks deep and do our thing,” Teravainen said. The Flyers lost the last four games of a five-game road trip and not even a return home could help the hapless franchise. Once a tough ticket, there were thousands of empty seats at faceoff and the crowd thinned out after the Hurricanes scored three times in the second.“I thought we were in the game, it was tight out there,” Couturier said. “The next thing you know, a few penalties, the PK doesn’t do the job and we’re chasing the game.”Philly fans finally went wild late in the second — when an Eagles highlight video flashed on the big screen and the crowd belted out the lyrics to “Fly Womens Esa Lindell Jersey , Eagles, Fly.”The Hurricanes have their own issues and have only four more points (39) than last-place Philadelphia. But the Hurricanes played like a team with playoff hopes and“We know where we’re sitting, so we know we need the points right now,” Hamilton said. “We’ve got a lot of games coming up before the All-Star break and stuff, so we’ve got to get on a little roll and help us get back in the standings.”Hamilton took a shot in his 204th straight game and connected with his fourth goal of the season only 1:56 into the period. Hamilton beat Michal Neuvirth for his first goal in 22 games.Williams, a former Flyer, scored his eighth of the season and Teravainen followed with his ninth late in the period for consecutive power-play goals for the Flyers.Neuvirth was helpless when Warren Foegele scored on a deflection for a 4-0 lead early in the third. What seemed like an ordinary goal in a rout turned into the cushion the Hurricanes needed for the second win over the Flyers this week. The Hurricanes scratched out a 3-1 win on Monday at home.“I don’t care how we win. I’ll take every point,” Carolina forward Sebastian Aho said.NOTES: The Flyers had updates on several players suffering from undisclosed injuries: G Brian Elliott (back practicing in 10 to 14 days); C Corban Knight (return to play mid to late February); D Andrew MacDonald (out at least one more game); D Sam Morin (ACL surgery, mid-February); C Nolan Patrick (return next week); and G Anthony Stolarz (practice this weekend). … Mrazek played in his 200th career game.UP NEXTHurricanes: Host Columbus on Friday night.Flyers: Host Calgary on Saturday.

CALGARY Mikkel Boedker Jersey Womens , Alberta — The Calgary Flames believe in themselves and for good reason as they are tied for the top spot in the Pacific Division through 29 games.Calgary (14-9-1) has won four of their past five games as they head into an encounter against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.“We like a lot of the things we’re doing. I think we can always improve and we’re always going over things we can do better,” Calgary’s captain Marc Giordano told Flames TV after Tuesday’s practice.Article continues below ...“The last couple of days (of practice) there’s been a lot of work done on our forecheck and moving the puck as defensemen to our forwards.“We want to play with confidence. We think we’re a good team but we just need to keep bringing the same game every night. The biggest thing in this league is consistency. We need to bring it every night.”The Stars (12-10-3) are fifth in the Central Division after a 1-0 overtime loss in Edmonton on Tuesday.Consistency has eluded Calgary’s No. 1 goaltender Mike Smith this season. Through 14 games, Smith’s recorded a poor 3.29 goals-against average and .883 save percentage. The rough start has left the 36-year-old battling to keep his starting job ahead of David Rittich, who has a 2.04 GAA through 12 contests.Smith got the net against his former team Sunday and was solid in a 6-1 victory over the Coyotes in Arizona. He came off the ice Tuesday and spoke positively for the first time in a long time.“You understand it’s just one game,” Smith told Flames TV. “It’s a definitely a work in progress. Every day you come to the rink and want to get better and find some consistencies in your game. “Last game was definitely a better game for myself but the team played outstanding in front of me. It definitely was a confidence builder and I want to just come to the rink today and keep it going.”The Stars have lost four straight on the road (0-3-1).Dallas has been going with No. 2 goalie Anton Khudobin because Ben Bishop has been out for a week after suffering a muscle strain in New York last week. Bishop could be back in the net Saturday in Vancouver. It’s possible the Stars will give Landon Bow his first NHL start in Calgary on Wednesday. The 23-year-old was called up from the American Hockey League when Bishop was hurt.Khudobin started all four games in Bishop’s place and has allowed 13 goals in that time. He played back-to-back last Friday and Saturday.Stars head coach Jim Montgomery was non-committal before Tuesday’s game, however.“We haven’t thought that far ahead,” he told Sportsday. “Dobby said that it was the first time he played back-to-back in four years and he felt great. I thought he was actually better in the second game than he was the first. We’ll see how he goes tonight and make a decision tomorrow.”The Flames made a minor trade Tuesday. They acquired defensemen Andrew Nielsen, who hails from nearby Red Deer http://www.officialavalanche.com/authent...roy-jersey , Alberta, from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Morgan Klimchuk. Both players have been toiling in the American Hockey League this season. NEW YORK — After making an emotional return to Nassau Coliseum Saturday night, the New York Islanders will have to adjust to playing in their second home Tuesday. But the Islanders won’t be the only team at Barclays Center coming off an exhilarating and exhausting victory Tuesday night, when they host the Winnipeg Jets in the first game of the season between the two squads. The Islanders, playing at their original home for the first time since the 2015 playoffs, came back from a two-goal deficit Saturday night to edge the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-2. The Jets outdid that Sunday night, when they came back from a three-goal third-period deficit to beat the host New York Rangers Womens Samuel Girard Jersey , 4-3, in the shootout.Article continues below ...The Islanders (13-9-3) will alternate locales for each of their six home games this month, with the odd-numbered games being played at the Coliseum and the even-numbered games at Barclays Center. They will continue splitting games between the two arenas until late February, when they begin a season-ending stretch of 12 straight home games at the Coliseum. The unusual arrangement is a best-of-a-bad situation between the Islanders and the building management group that runs both Barclays Center and the Nassau Coliseum, which is preparing to lose the Islanders as a tenant after the team announced plans late last year to build a hockey-specific arena at the Nassau/Queens border in time for the 2021-22 season. The move back to the franchise’s roots was embraced by Islanders fans, who filled the 13,900-seat Coliseum to raucous capacity Saturday night. Afterward, head coach Barry Trotz acknowledged it will take some getting used to the sparse crowds and deadened atmosphere at Barclays Semyon Varlamov Jersey , where the Islanders averaged just 10,447 fans — the lowest average attendance in the NHL — in their first 11 home dates.“It’s going to be quite different, it’s going to be a little quieter, I know that,” Trotz said during a postgame press conference in which chants of “LET’S GO ISLANDERS!” echoed outside the room. “We’re going to have to be self-motivated.”The Jets (15-8-2) are also a potential candidate for a letdown after they forced overtime by scoring three times in a span of a little more than 15 minutes in the third period before Mark Scheifele scored the decisive goal in the shootout.“To be down 3-0 and keep going, right until the very end, (was) impressive,” Jets head coach Paul Maurice said afterward. It was the second frantic win in as many nights for Winnipeg Sergei Boikov Jersey , which opened a three-game road trip to New York-area locales by blowing a two-goal lead in the third period of a 4-3 overtime win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. Maurice said he’s hopeful an off-day Monday will help recharge the Jets.“We’re going to play three road games and stay in the same hotel,” Maurice said. “So it’s not your standard grinder road trip.”Neither team has announced a starting goalie for Tuesday, though it is likely number one goalies Thomas Greiss and Connor Hellebuyck will be in net after earning the wins for the Islanders and Jets on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Greiss made 28 saves against the Blue Jackets and Hellebuyck recorded 16 saves against the Rangers.Greiss is 4-1-1 in six career appearances against the Jets. Hellebuyck is 2-1-0 in three games against the Islanders.

With the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl behind us Bradley McDougald Jersey , it’s time to look ahead to the offseason. Over the next several months, the 2019 Seahawks will begin to take shape through retaining (or not retaining) players on expiring deals, free agency and then the draft. Last offseason, Seattle did well to fill in holes along the offensive line and at SAM linebacker, while filling in other vacancies with players already on the roster. Now in their second offseason of a retooling period, here’s five positions that could need addressing prior to the 2019 season.EDGETwo stars in a pleasantly surprising 2018 for the Seahawks were Jarran Reed and Frank Clark. Reed flashed dominance against the pass for the first time in his career, dating back to Alabama. Pressure from the interior is crucial and to have that box ticked is a huge boost for Seattle. Clark, long penciled in as the next premier edge rusher for the Seahawks, following Chris Clemons, Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, took the next step in 2018. Though Reed and Clark provided Seattle with a tremendous boost, there’s still a hole on the other side of the line. Clark needs a running mate; a Bennett to his Avril. Sadly, Dion Jordan wasn’t able to replicate his play from 2017 in 2018. There’s a host of red and blue chip EDGEs on expiring contracts, but the majority, like Clark, will likely be re-upped by their current teams. Luckily, this year’s draft is loaded with defensive line talent. A player I wrote about prior to the Senior Bowl, Montez Sweat Cheap Germain Ifedi Jersey , seems like a perfect fit at this point in the process. In another year, he could’ve been a top-10 prospect; this season, an argument could be made he’s the 10th best defensive lineman. With free agency and the draft to come, the Seahawks should feel good about filling the hole opposite Clark on the outside. Weakside linebackerAfter battling injuries for most of 2018, K.J. Wright hit his stride in Week 16 and carried that form through the loss in Dallas on Wild Card weekend. However, whether they re-sign Wright or not, it’s time to start searching for his replacement at WILL linebacker. It may be Shaquem Griffin, and though surely we’re all rooting for him, the reality remains: Griffin is a fifth round pick who struggled in limited opportunities on defense. To count on him to step into a starting role would simply be poor management. Whether it’s through free agency or the draft, Seattle must add another option at linebacker. Pass-catching running backIn the lead up to the 2018 NFL Draft, it appeared as though the Seahawks would go away from their mold at RB for the first time, as they extensively scouted smaller satellite backs. Ultimately, they rolled with Mike Davis in that role, continuing a trend of using bigger-bodied backs in that spot, like Robert Turbin before him. Though C.J. Prosise remains under contract through 2019, the search should continue for a pass-catching tailback. Davis will likely look for an expanded role elsewhere, and J.D. McKissic (who is out of contract) and Prosise’s combined four touches in 2018 seem to indicate there isn’t a plan for either player. Wide receiverWhen Paul Richardson left for Washington, Seattle lost their vertical threat and contested catch receiver. Tyler Lockett filled the vertical role (and then some!) in an outstanding breakout season http://www.seahawksfootballauthentics.co...-authentic , while David Moore, at times, looked like he was on the way to becoming a legitimate above-the-rim threat. Moore faded almost completely down the stretch, and so that search continues. Moore has the athleticism and has flashed ability; he shouldn’t be given up on. Even still, it would be wise to throw another dart at the need, whether it’s through a low-key free agent addition 脿 la Jaron Brown, or a day three selection in the draft. The Seahawks can avoid depending solely on Moore, as well as investing heavily in another player at the position.Outside-in defensive linemenNot to be overshadowed by the fantastic seasons Clark and Reed enjoyed, Quinton Jefferson became a legitimate rotational player in 2018. Seattle began deploying him as a 5-tech capable of reducing inside in the preseason, and it paid dividends over the course of the season. Even with Jefferson’s step towards useful NFL player, the Seahawks could use one more player in that vein. Though it’s a spot that should be addressed this offseason, there’s also two possible in-house solutions. The first would be adding two more EDGEs this offseason, allowing Clark to reduce inside in pass-rush packages, flanked by two pure edge rushers. He’s done it previously and has all the tools to become the type of threat rushing from inside that Bennett was. The second would be depending on Rasheem Green to fill that role. It’s where he projected coming out of USC, but he was a non-factor as a rookie. Green is young (21) and has great tools; he should get there within the next season or two, but depending upon him takes an element of risk, after not seeing much of anything from him in 2018. There are several large contract extensions looming, but with just under $55M in cap space Youth Will Dissly Jersey , Seattle is in great position to bolster their roster this offseason. Replenishing depth, while finding a couple bargain-priced gems, would go a long way towards the Seahawks not only returning to the playoffs in 2019, but advancing. The Houston Texans announced their 2019 assistant coaching staff, and one of their new additions is someone who’s been with the Seattle Seahawks since 2011.Carl Smith, who served as the Seahawks’ quarterbacks coach from 2011-2017, and was associate head coach in 2018, is now going to be Houston’s quarterbacks coach entering next season. The 70-year-old will be reunited with his son Tracy Smith, who is the Texans’ assistant special teams coordinator.Carl’s connections with Pete Carroll trace all the way back to 1982, when Carroll was the NC State defensive coordinator and Smith was the offensive coordinator. They also worked together when Carroll was the New England Patriots head coach from 1997-1999, and Smith was assistant head coach, quarterbacks coach, and later tight ends coach. Smith joined Carroll at USC for one season as QBs coach in 2004. This particular stretch with the Seahawks is the longest that Smith and Carroll have been on the same staff, as Smith helped developed Russell Wilson into one of the league’s best quarterbacks. Now Smith gets to work with DeShaun Watson, who is also a really exciting player to watch. With Smith’s departure, combined with the housecleaning of the strength and conditioning staff, these are the remaining assistant coaches from the inaugural Carroll era staff in 2010 who are still with the team in 2019Big Grinave Canales (quarterbacks coach)Pat McPherson (tight ends coach)Pat Ruel (assistant offensive line coach)Brian Schneider (special teams coach)

Broncos fans are no strangers to the old emotional rollercoaster. From humiliating Super Bowl losses to dominant Super Bowl victories. From being the only franchise to have not one http://www.broncoscheapauthenticstore.co...rsey-cheap , but two, legendary quarterbacks walk off into the sunset on top of the football world all the way over to years of quarterback purgatory. Heck, the entire 2015 season was nearly heart attack-inducing, with the Broncos cruising to an NFL record 11 victories won by 7 points or less. But they don’t usually give us quite this much whiplash.A bit less than 8 days ago, the Broncos absolutely balled out. After a month of losses and mounting frustration for the team and fans alike, they claimed their first road win of the season by crushing the Arizona Cardinals in pretty much every phase of the game. Whether it signals the beginning of a turn-around or will just be a bright spot in a lost season, we can’t yet say. But, for one night at least, the good times were here again. It just feels good to be able to sit and enjoy being on the shiny side of a 45-10 beatdown occasionally.Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty ImagesWhile it would’ve been nice to sail smoothly through the following mini-bye, it just wasn’t in the cards it seems. In the midst of an otherwise very normal Halloween party, Chad Kelly engaged in a string of bad decisions that cost him his job, landed him in court, and saddled the Broncos and their players with an embarrassing and mostly misguided social media backlash. It’s the worst sort of press a team can get, and right before traveling to face the most dangerous team in the division in their own stadium is close to the worst timing possible for it.The sharp contrast between the high of one weekend and the low of the next is jarring, and it’s fair to wonder how the team will proceed. On the personnel level, we know that Kelly’s stunt got him kicked out of the Broncos organization & Isaiah McKenzie stepped in to fill the vacant roster spot. But what about the season at large? With probably our toughest away game coming up this weekend, I think the Broncos are approaching their make it or break it moment. If the Broncos lose to the Chiefs...Photo by Matthew Stockman/Getty ImagesIf the Broncos lose, then the season almost certainly becomes what we’ve all worried it will be: another year lost in QB purgatory and the catalyst of a long-denied full rebuild of the team. It means the final demise of the 2015 Super Bowl core, the trade or eventual release of some of those players, and the transition of others into a new role as the foundation pieces the organization will seek to build a new, young core around. A loss Sunday would also probably signal the end of the Vance Joseph era in Denver. It might not result in firings then and there, but it would likely make such firings inevitable rather than just likely. There’s no reason to go into a rebuilding phase with a losing coach- and despite all his efforts, Vance Joseph has been exactly that. Will a loss mean the Broncos tank the season outright? Will the organization “Suck for the Duck” as some have put it? No. That’s not Broncos football. It wouldn’t of happened under Pat Bowlen, and it certainly won’t under John Elway. Regardless of what happens Sunday Youth Jake Butt Jersey , there’re probably still some wins left in this team. How many wins and what impact will they have on our draft position is the question. But if the Broncos beat the Chiefs...Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty ImagesWell, this is where things would get interesting. Obviously, it’d be a very impressive win. It’d mean that the coaches have finally figured out the team’s identity and are coaching to those strengths- because there’s no way it happens if they don’t reach that point. And it would mean that the 2018 Broncos are dangerous. There are already some signs that that might be the case. The Broncos are the only team that’s been able to slow down the Chiefs’ offense so far, being the only opponent to hold them under 30 points and forcing Patrick Mahomes to pull off some 4th quarter heroics to scratch and claw his way to victory. The 27 points the Chiefs mustered in Week 4 were 12 points shy of the 39 points per game pace they’ve averaged against their other 6 opponents. Similarly, the Broncos brought the Rams juggernaut down to near-mortality. The 23 points Sean McVay’s crew scored against Denver are a full 10 points fewer than any other opponent has given up to LA this year and again 12 points lower than their average. What that means is that this is still a talented team: a team that, on a good day, can compete with literally any squad in the NFL and make them fight and claw and sweat their way to victory- if they can get it. It’s a flawed team, certainly, but there’s still potential here and a victory in Kansas City would build an impressive head of momentum. The Bottom LineThe outcome this weekend will, in my opinion, very likely determine the course of the rest of the Broncos’ season and the narrative that builds around the team in the second half of the 2018 campaign. If the Broncos lose, then a losing season, a high draft pick, and a rebuild are all likely in our future. But if the Broncos win, they’ll be back at .500 and very much alive in the conversation for a wildcard spot in the playoffs. While a win doesn’t seem likely, it is indeed possible. But whatever the result of the game is, expect it to be a watershed moment for the 2018 Broncos.Horse TracksWhich NFL team is REALLY the worst in 2018? When the Denver Broncos were down 20-3 in the second half to the Los Angeles Rams, you could hear the chants for Chad Kelly in the stands. Instead, Case Keenum attacked the Rams prevent defense to lead a comeback that come up short in a 23-20 home defeat. After the game, Vance Joseph dismissed any notion that there could be a quarterback change coming saying, “Case is our quarterback.” to the first question about his possible benching.Case Keenum is now having a year that is kind of right in the middle of his pre-2017 and 2017 seasons, so a regression back to the mean. He is 122/192 for a 63.5 completion percentage with 1365 yards and 5 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on the year.Pretty much pedestrian and a slight improvement over the Trevor Siemian era. The Broncos paid $18 million for the quarterback they saw last year and got a bottom third in the league quarterback instead. In this situation, I think back to 2011. The Broncos were 1-4 and Kyle Orton was having another pedestrian day, going 6/13 for 34 yards down two scores. Tim Tebow, who is barely a quarterback by any measure of quarterbacks, comes in and the rest is history. Sometimes, the problem isn’t the quarterback, but changing quarterbacks is the solution anyway. We’re not quite there yet, but Vance Joseph sure seems like a coach who is going to stick with Case Keenum no matter how back it gets. He is coaching for his job and isn’t going to risk it on a second-year quarterback no matter what.So put away your Chad Kelly chants, Broncos Country, that is never happening under Joseph’s watch.

Is it time for the Steelers to bench Vince Williams?
Đăng bởi: liny195 - 03-13-2019, 07:57 AM - Diễn đàn: Hướng dẫn huấn luyện - Không có trả lời

Vince Williams was just awarded a new contract before the start of this season Cheap Artie Burns Jersey , and he was the obvious starting ILB heading into the preseason. Jon Bostic was the one who was thought to be on the hot seat at ILB, but with Bostic playing at a high level, there’s no way you can sit him without the defense taking a huge hit in the middle. Unfortunately for Williams, he’s been average at best — but on passing downs, he’s been particularly suspect. The Steelers love to run single-high Cover 3 and Cover 2 Man. Unfortunately for Williams, he’s the person offenses attack constantly. It’s a huge reason why slot receivers and tight ends have been having huge games against the Steelers. Williams has been at the center of lackluster play too. He’s looked lost and even more so, he’s missed tackles. Missed tackles such as this really worry me. It seems to be a fitting summation of his season so far, but merely reaching out an arm and not wrapping up isn’t going to cut it at all. Vince Williams hasn’t been good vs. the run and this fact causes some worry about the state of the ILBs with him on the field. Williams also has seemed lost at times, sometimes doing little to nothing on a play at all. I’m not sure what he’s doing sometimes but http://www.steelerscheapshops.com/cheap-...ree-jersey , as the main communicator on defense, he has to be on top of his assignments and follow through. For example, what in the world is he doing here? It is as if he is deciding between blitzing and dropping back into a zone, but he’s a complete non-factor here. If he was supposed to be in a zone, then this easy slant completion can be put partially on his shoulders. It’s plays like this that make you question what in the world he’s doing this season. He missed the game against the Falcons and L.J. Fort filled in for him, making a world of difference in the defense. Finally, running backs were not gashing the Steelers and you could see athleticism in the middle of the field. While tight ends were somewhat of an issue, the Steelers shut down every other aspect of the Falcons’ offensive attack. To the point about tight ends, Fort had one extremely rough play that stood out to me Cheap T. J. Watt Jersey , and it was his worst play of the day. The coverage isn’t terrible here. It’s a zone and Fort is seemingly right there, so credit to the Falcons for attacking that weakness in the zone. But this is a pretty bad miss by Fort who gets spun right around and then lets Hooper head upfield for another 10 yards after the catch. Luckily, this was only a one-time occurrence with Fort and he provided some other flashes of great plays to compensate.First up, from the Baltimore game, these are two great reps from Fort. The nice rip inside to get the tackle and then the athletic sideline-to-sideline speed to finish the second play are why he’s such a difference maker in the middle. He’s a play-maker that they simply didn’t have in previous games. Vince Williams is a great blitzer in stunts schemed for him, but Fort arguably did it better against the Falcons.I love how Fort is absolutely flying in there like a bullet. Great scheming by Keith Butler too. This is the type of play that can quite literally change a game, and it was no doubt important to stopping Atlanta’s drive. No matter how fast you get the ball out, Fort at least is getting a hit on Ryan, and his burst is so valuable to any team in the middle of the field. Simply put Cheap Maurkice Pouncey Jersey , this team needs quickness and play-making ability in the middle of the field. L.J. Fort gives the Steelers that, and so does Matthew Thomas. Williams has a contract, and is being paid now, but if I’m aspiring to a Super Bowl win, then I’m playing Fort over Williams. He and Jon Bostic are the best duo inside for the Steelers right now. Unfortunately, I think it’s time to bench Vince Williams.Week 2 betting preview: Steelers 4.5-point favorites over Chiefs The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener on Sunday, looking to extend their three game winning streak over the team from Missouri. The Steelers currently hold a comfortable lead in the series with a 23-11 advantage dating back to 1970 and Mike Tomlin has only lost to Kansas City twice in his career since taking over in Pittsburgh with a 6-2 record. An opening line of 5.5-points has been replaced by a consensus spread of 4.5-points as we get closer to game day and it should be expected this line will narrow further if Ben Roethlisberger is ruled out of the contest before kickoff. Until the status of Big Ben, David DeCastro and Joe Haden is known, this is probably a bet to be avoided unless you are looking to back the Chiefs.Somewhat surprisingly http://www.steelerscheapshops.com/cheap-...ble-jersey , an initial Over/Under of 49.5-points has seen enough action on the over to move the line to 53-points at the time of writing. However, only one of the last seven games played between these two teams has gone over 40-points and early bets are advised on the under in case there is a correction to the totals position when injury reports are released on Friday.Despite the shortening spread, an early moneyline offering of +145 to -167 has been replaced by a prices of +180 to -210 with most providers. A value line right now for Kansas City if Roethlisberger ultimately does not play. According to Oddsshark.com, The total has gone under in 6 of the Steelers’last 7 games against the Chiefs and Pittsburgh is 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 home games versus Kansas City. That being said, the Steelers are 0-5 ATS against the spread in their last 5 home games and the total has gone over in 6 of their last 7 games at Heinz Field, so one of these sets of trends is will be broken in one way or another on Sunday.   With the drama surrounding wide receiver Antonio

Each and every Wednesday for the next 10 weeks, we will bring you a selection of the latest mock draft projections from around the NFL draft community. So far, we have looked at 30 contrasting offerings from some of the more well-known names in the business, with three different defensive players standing out from the pack as the most popular names to project to the Steelers over the last three weeks.Midweek Mock Draft Roundup 1.0 consensus pick - Devin White, LB, LSUMidweek Mock Draft Roundup 2.0 consensus pick - Byron Murphy, CB, WashingtonMidweek Mock Draft Roundup 3.0 consensus pick - Tie between Byron Murphy, CB, Washington and Deandre Baker, CB, GeorgiaThis week we have 10 more mock drafts worthy of review: Maurice Jones-Drew, NFL Network - LB, Devin White, LSU(Previous pick - First mock)Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports - LB, Devin White, LSU(Previous pick - CB, Deandre Baker, Georgia)Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports - WR, D.K. Defensive line prospects have made their first appearance on our list this week, with no obvious consensus as we have seen in previously. Linebacker Devin White earns the top spot as the most popular player to mock to the Steelers by virtue of being the only player named more than once this time around. We will add more mock drafts to our weekly roundup as they appear and we encourage you to let us know which experts you think we should be highlighting over the next 10 weeks. Here is what has come beforeTonguerelim - “Colbert Specials” of the 2018 Draft ClassPart 1 – Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at CBPart 2 – Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at ILBPart 3 – Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at EDGEPart 4 – Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at WRPart 5 - Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at RBPart 6 - Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at SAFETYPart 7 - Breaking Down the Steeler Needs at TEPart 8 - Breaking Down the Steeler Needs on the OLTo end the series we will examine what is simultaneously the strongest part of this year’s draft class and one of the Steelers’ lowest priorities: defensive line.Over the past few years BTSC has discussed the evolution of the Pittsburgh D-Line many times, explaining how the team used to play a 2-gapping “Okie” system where the front three DT’s occupy four to five offensive linemen, thereby keeping the linebackers free to fly around and make plays; how and why that shifted to a 1-gapping “Eagle” system in which the DT’s use penetration to disrupt opponents, with the linebackers cleaning up through the chaos; and how the rise of spread offenses has effectively removed the Nose Tackle from our defense for 60-70% of all snaps, making the 2-4-5 a/k/a 4-2-5 a/k/a 4-3 Over/Under formation almost as much of the “base” as the nominal 3-4. I love all that X’s and O’s stuff but this isn’t the time and place. Bottom Line: The Steelers use 2陆 “starters” on the Defensive Line, and have three all- or fringe-all-pro caliber players to fill those slots. In other words, barring injury the team has more star power at the position than it can fully use. That isn’t to say we should just ignore the position. The Defensive Line’s importance to a defense can’t be overstated; DL’s get a bigger share of bumps, bruises and joint manipulations than almost anyone else; the resulting injuries and exhaustion makes depth a bigger concern than most other positions; and teams that don’t have five Size XL monsters will be helpless on short yardage plays. Plus there’s the fact that much of Pittsburgh’s 2018 depth at the position will be free agents in 2019. So let’s start by looking at the current roster:Cam Heyward. Team captain, team leader, fan favorite and star. Signed to a long term contract.Stephon Tuitt. Maybe even better than Heyward when he’s healthy. Also signed to a long term contract.Javon Hargrave [Final Year of Rookie Deal]. The 2016 Round 3 pick that BTSC would have picked in Round 1. Were we ever happy when his name got called! And were we ever right. Came into his own as a budding star in 2018 that opposing coaches expressly warned about in pregame press conferences.Tyson Alualu [Unrestricted Free Agent]. A 2010 1st-round bust for the Jaguars who has been a superb backup here in Pittsburgh. Will he get starter time and money elsewhere?L.T. Walton [Unrestricted Free Agent]. Pittsburgh chose him in the sixth round of the 2015 as a boom-or-bust athlete. He boomed enough to raise hopes and easily secure a backup slot, but in 2018 was the clear #5 behind the three starters and Alualu. Arguably the #6 behind McCullers too Pittsburgh Steelers Womens Hoodie , though Big Dan has more of a specialty job.Dan McCullers [Unrestricted Free Agent]. The eternal “if only.” He finally took a step up in 2018, at least enough to fight off a challenge from 7th Round pick Joshua Frazier (now out of the league). His job is to be an immovable object in short yardage situations. He’s been occasionally effective at doing so.Conor Sheehy. A hardnosed, blue-collar powerlifting champion who’s a tweener for the NFL at 6’4” and 295 lb. The Packers took him in 2018 as a UDFA. If he makes a major Sophomore Leap he will be ready to fight for some kind of deep backup role, but ‘major’ is the operative word.Lavon Hooks. A 2016 UDFA for the Packers with good size (6’3”, 310 lbs.) and decent athleticism, but he is running out of chances. He hasn’t managed to work up to Journeyman status yet but he is still young enough to have legitimate dreams that things might someday click. That is a well-stacked roster! The only issue is contracts. The top three are all you could reasonably hope for and one assumes that Hargrave will get the extension he’s earned for 2020 and beyond. No issue there. But literally all the established depth (three out of three) consists of free agents who could depart. It seems more likely that one or two will sign a relatively inexpensive, short term deal but who knows? In an case, those are the men a draft pick could legitimately hope to challenge so let’s look at the available talent.Or maybe not just yet.How do you describe what may prove to be the best Defensive Line class in living memory, and maybe the best ever? I am going to start by disappointing all the draftniks who read my articles. Sanity demands that we move all the players who deserve to get picked in Rounds 1-3 onto an Ain’t Gonna Happen List. They are too much in demand by other teams; the Steelers would get too little bang for the buck compared to other positions; and there are just too many of them to spend all the space it would take for descriptions. The Ain’t Gonna Happen ListDL Ed Oliver, Houston. 6’2”, 290 lbs. Round 2-3 talent.DL/NT Renell Wren, Arizona St. 6’4” Womens Customized Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys , 295 lbs. Round 2-3 talent.Film watchers could easily fall in love with any of those players and the Steelers might certainly pick one if he fell to the point where the BPA bargain was too rich to ignore (or of course if there is something going on behind the scenes that we do not know about). But it just isn’t worth the brain cells and article space to discuss them. This next group includes the ones that Nick Farabaugh and I have identified as team fits for one reason or another. The basic criterion is someone who might be available in Round 6 or 7 even if a neutral evaluator would expect him to get picked in Round 3-5. “Unlikely” is okay by us, just not “absurd.” Their Pittsburgh-specific value will of course change depending on who the team (re)signs in free agency. If both Alualu and L.T. Walton depart, the F.O. will be looking for length and explosiveness; i.e., lesser versions of Tuitt and Heyward. If Big Dan McCullers is gone the team will want an immovable object for short yardage situations. Etc.The Options On The BTSC Big Board: [fn]5:01 DL Zach Allen, Boston College. 6’5”, 282 lbs. You’ve got to love tough guy grinders who stand up Offensive Tackles in the run game and beat them on passing downs with grit, persistence and an array of subtle but nasty hand fighting and leverage techniques. Alas, but he’s a pure, Day Two DE for a 4-3 team, without the bend and overall athleticism needed to play OLB in Pittsburgh. The grade would be even lower if there was no chance he could bulk up into a smaller Defensive Tackle. 5:01 DL Demarcus Christmas, Florida St. 6’4”, 308 lbs. A solid player with the sort of explosiveness the Steelers have been favoring.5:01 DL/NT Daylon Mack, Texas A&M. 6’0”, 320 lbs. A 5-star recruit who fizzled and underperformed through his college career until he suddenly started to get it in the back end of 2018. A dazzling and dominant performance at the Shrine Game started buzz to the effect that he’s finally arrived. Hidden as he is behind the obvious superstar prospects who will go on Days 1 and 2, could Daylon Mack be the defensive line steal of the draft?5:01 DL Anthony Nelson, Iowa. 6’7”, 271 lbs. A good looking 4-3 anchor-type DE who will fit some other team a lot better than Pittsburgh, where he’d be asked to bulk up into a mobile Defensive Tackle rather than a Size XL Edge player. His biggest flaws are a lack of bend and ability to play in space, both of which make him unsuited to the 3-4 OLB role. 5:01 DL/NT Olive Sagapolu, Wisconsin. 6’2”, 345 lbs. A mid-round immovable object.6:01 DL/NT Greg Gaines, Washington. 6’1”, 322 lbs. An immovable object with good strength and leverage but no real pass rush ability.6:16 DL/NT Edwin Alexander, LSU. 6’3”, 339 lbs. A massive, fairly explosive NT who fills up space but greatly needs to work on his pad level.6:16 DL/NT Khairi Clark, Florida. 6’1”, 315 lbs. Rawer than raw with little to no explosive ability off the line. His ability to bull rush may earn a roster spot somewhere but he has massive work to do if he ever wants to be more than a gap plugging run stuffer.6:16 DL/NT Khalen Saunders, W. Illinois. 6’2”, 320 pounds. Want a late round flier who’s on the board for a very good reason having nothing to do with football? Watch this and you won’t even think of disagreeing. Last time I saw something like that it was Jason Pierre-Paul at the Combine, and he turned out okay...6:16 DL Daniel Wise, Kansas. 6’3”, 290 lbs. A pure penetrator with good 1st-step explosion but questionable ability to hold up if that trick fails. A standout at the Shrine Game where he regularly beat up on Centers and Guards alike. Tennessee Titans today. With a quick score on their first drive Youth Brandon Scherff Jersey , the game plan established early for the viewers, and the Titans themselves, that the Redskins were going to be aggressive and attack the Titans defense. Unfortunately, with an appealing game plan in place, the execution was not there. Penalties on the offensive side of the football killed drives sooner than they began, and the Redskins were unable to get the Titans offense off the field quickly. Seven first downs for the Titans offensively to the Redskins one first down. Given the circumstances in which he joined Washington http://www.redskinscheapstore.com/tress-...rsey-cheap , Josh Johnson continues to show his leadership and composure as the Redskins fourth starting quarterback of the season. To start the second quarter, Washington overcame penalties and terrible field position to lead a 17-play 93-yard drive that lasted nearly 11 minutes. It goes down as a 93-yard drive, but after penalties (of course) and a big sack, the Redskins ended up driving from their one-yard line to get their first touchdown of the game. Unfortunately, the Redskins defense was not able to capitalize on the great drive by their offense. The Redskins allowed the Titans to drive down the field with ease, to get a field goal heading into halftime. Washington http://www.redskinsfootballauthentics.co...-authentic , specifically Josh Johnson and Adrian Peterson, out-gained the Titans in the first half; however, had five more penalties and three less first downs than them. Due to an injury late in the second quarter, quarterback Blaine Gabbert led the Titans out of the halftime break as Marcus Mariota stayed in the locker room due to an elbow injury. Washington took over the third quarter through time of possession and adding a field goal to give them a 13-9 edge heading into the fourth quarter. Josh Johnson was 10-16, 127 passing yards, one touchdown http://www.redskinsfootballauthentics.co...-authentic , and a 108.1 quarterback rating. Adrian Peterson helped establish a balanced offensive attack, with 75-yards on 16 carries. In the end, both backup quarterbacks were successful on the night. Gabbert led a go-ahead touchdown late, to give the Titans a three-point lead with just under five minutes to go. With the pressure on the backs of Josh Johnson and the Redskins offense, they were able to drive it down to midfield, where Johnson throws a game-sealing interception. Adrian Peterson led all rushers with 119 yards rushing on 26 carries http://www.redskinsfootballauthentics.co...-authentic , and Jamison Crowder led all Redskins pass-catchers with 78 yards on five catches. When word first broke that Trent Williams dislocated his thumb, Williams said he was holding out hope that he wouldn’t miss any time because of the injury.Williams needed to have surgery, however, and the veteran left tackle will miss his third straight game this weekend. Washington head coach Jay Gruden made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.Washington placed starting guards Shawn Lauvao and Brandon Scherff on injured reserve since Williams hurt his thumb, but the thinned-out offensive line handled things pretty well against the Buccaneers in last Sunday’s 16-3 victory. Ty Nsekhe started in Williams’ place while Jonathan Cooper and Tony Bergstrom stepped in at guard.Running back Chris Thompson, who has injured ribs http://www.redskinsfootballauthentics.co...-authentic , and wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who has an ankle injury, also remained out of action. Gruden said Thompson will likely miss this Sunday’s game against the Texans. Custom Houston Texans Jerseys

A review of UDFA Wide Receivers at Redskins Training

Camp During the month of May Washington Redskins Hats , profiles for all the undrafted free agents signed by the Redskins were posted on Hogs Haven. To read any of these detailed profiles for the four players highlighted in this article, simply click on the player’s name at the top of each player summary below. This article is designed to highlight those UDFA wide receivers that are still on the roster. At least a couple of UDFA receivers who signed with the Redskins early have been cut already. Both Micah Holder and De’Mornay Pierson-El were profiled on Hogs Haven, but their stays with the Redskins were short-lived, with each being waived in May to make room for other players. That leaves four UDFA wide receivers who will go to training camp with the Redskins to compete for a spot on the regular season roster. While the odds are generally stacked against UDFAs, I believe that the makeup of the Redskins wide receiver depth chart and Jay Gruden’s desire to add at least one punt returner to the roster for the ‘18 season opens up the very real possibility that one of these four players could make the team — and when I say that, I mean that any one of the four has the possibility and opportunity to break into the 53-man roster. It’s very possible that more than one of them could end up with regular season contracts when the ten Practice Squad slots are taken into account. For each of the UDFAs that were profiled on Hogs Haven in May, two poll questions were put forward:As UDFAs go, rate this player: A, B, C, D or FHow good are the chances that this player is on the Redskins roster in 2018?— Pretty strong— Above average— 50/50— UnlikelyThe results of each poll are printed below each player’s short profile below to give you an idea how each player is seen by the Hogs Haven readers. To make it a bit easier to compare the players Washington Redskins Womens Hoodie , I’ve prepared a summary table here:Wide Receivers Simmie Cobbs Jr., WR, IndianaCam Sims, WR, AlabamaShay Fields, WR, ColoradoDarvin Kidsy, WR, Texas SouthernA bit of backgroundBlockingChange of directionPunt returnsHow would he fit with the Redskins?Return manSlot receiverThe camp battleThe full list of wide receivers in Redskins Training CampJosh DoctsonPaul RichardsonJamison CrowderBrian QuickRobert DavisMaurice HarrisTrey QuinnSimmie Cobbs, Jr.Darvin KidsyShay FieldsCam SimsToday’s Poll Questions Parris Campbell, WRSchool: Ohio State | Conference: Big Ten Experience: RS Senior | Age: 21Height / Weight: 6-1 / 208 lbsProjected Draft Status: Second RoundNFL Comparison: Curtis SamuelCollege StatisticsPlayer OverviewCampbell Womens Customized Washington Redskins Jerseys , a product of St. Vincent-St. Mary (the same high school as LeBron James), came to Ohio State a consensus four-star prospect, with rankings as high as the No. 14 running back (Scout), No. 15 athlete (Rivals) and No. 19 wide receiver (247Sports). Born in July of 1997, Campbell was just 17 yrs old when he red-shirted his first season, and finished with zero catches or rushes during his first season of playing time. Campbell had his breakout year in 2017, after replacing Curtis Samuel, then surprised many by returning for his senior season. For more on his backstory, click HERE.Athletic TraitsA high school track star, in 2014 he set the state record in the 60-yard dash for the state of Ohio. After NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread published a list of the fastest players in college football last summer, Campbell took to twitter to announce that he was insulted that he did not make the list. And after the list came out www.redskinscheapshops.com , OSU released a video showing Campbell running what appears to be a 40-yard dash in 4.26 seconds.Later, Goodbread released another 18 for ‘18 list, where he ranks the 18 best athletes in college football. This time Campbell made the cut. Goodbread explains “Even on a roster filled with top-notch talent, Campbell’s physical measurables stand above. The Buckeyes receiver can vertical-jump 40 inches and broad-jump 11-3 -- both results would typically place him very high among all participants at the NFL combine. He possesses blazing speed on a sturdy 208-pound frame, and has been clocked at sub-4.4 in the 40-yard dash, per Ohio State. Not surprisingly, he’s one of the nation’s most prolific kickoff returners with a career average north of 30 yards per return.”The FilmIn the Rose Bowl, Campbell caught 11 passes for 71 yards with a touchdown in a 28-23 victory over Washington. See a condensed version of the whole game here:Against Michigan’s (then) top-ranked defense, Campbell converted just six touches into a career-high 192 combined rushing and receiving yards, with two fourth quarter touchdowns. The Buckeyes utilize his speed primarily in the screen game, on jet sweeps Washington Redskins T-Shirt , and reverses.StrengthsExplosive in the open field, with the contact balance of a running backWill bring yards after to catch to any offenseHeight/weight/speed prospect whose reported workout numbers are eliteVery durable, with the body armor to absorb contact Can bring a missing dimension to an offense, with his effectiveness on reverses, jet sweeps, and various wide receiver screensDespite being a red-shirt senior, Campbell is still very young, just 21 yrs old on draft dayWeaknessesNot very nuanced as a receiver Routes are essentially run to the open spaceWill likely need to have touches manufactured for himHas not shown the ability to beat press coverage on the outsideFloor might be Tavon Austin What Others Are SayingThe Draft Network calls Campbell THE NEXT NFL X-FACTOR explaining ”I think the most easily translatable skillset for Campbell’s is how effective he can be as a slot player on crosser and drag routes over the middle. This is a route that can be successful against both man and zone coverages, and presents a ton of mismatch potential with slower players being forced to guard players like Campbell.”Rob Rang - “What makes Campbell – NFLDraftScout.com’s top-rated senior receiver – different than some of the other speed merchants throughout college football is that he possesses a legitimate NFL frame to go along with his acceleration, checking in at a rock-solid 6-0, 208 pounds. Campbell’s greater body armor makes him much more likely to be able to withstand the punishment receivers face in the NFL.”How Would He Fit On The RedskinsWhile the Redskins return Josh Doctson Washington Redskins Hats , Paul Richardson, and draft day steal Trey Quinn, they will likely lose slot receiver Jamison Crowder in free agency.Richardson had 20 catches in an injury plagued first season with the Redskins last year and Doctson has also battled injuries and inconsistency since arriving in Washington as a heralded first round pick. Campbell is different than any other receiving options on the Redskins’ roster. He’s a shifty, quick-twitch receiver who can create underneath separation with ease. He gets a lot of touches in the screen game and on reverses. He’s at his best in catch-and-run situations, showing the burst and elusiveness to create big plays once the ball is in his hands. This is someone who is a truly a threat to score every time he touches the ball. It’s not a lazy comparison to compare Campbell to former OSU receivers Curtis Samuel and Braxton Miller. Other than Percy Harvin, playing the H-back position in Urban Meyers’ offense has not been an effective launching point for the pro’s, but Samuel made a lot or progress in year two, after injuries derailed his rookie season. Campbell was used less in the backfield that his predecessors, and is further along in his development. Custom Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys
